  • College & Military Night will be held on August 29, 2013 @ 6:30pm.  It will be held in the New Gym at FCHS.  All students in Forsyth County are welcome to attend.  We will have almost 60 college and military representatives present that evening.

  • The PROBE Fair is another opportunity for students to visit with college representatives – more colleges come to PROBE than come to our college & military night!   It will be held on Tuesday, September 10.  We will board buses at 9:30 and be back at 11:00am.  Students are not allowed to drive to this event.  The counseling office will take students on a field trip to Lanier Tech to visit with these representatives.  This is open only to JUNIORS and SENIORS.  The cost is $5.00 and you can get your ticket from Mrs. Santiago in the counseling office no later than September 6th at noon.

  • The Forsyth Central High School Technology Student Association is hosting its first annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Thursday, September 12th from 5:00 – 7:30pm in the East Campus Cafeteria, to showcase the amazing work the students do throughout the year. Come enjoy homemade Italian classics prepared and served by our TSA students and volunteer coaches. We will be having a buffet style dinner, drinks, and desert. Additionally, there will be a chance to win special prizes.


  • Senior Pictures August 29th.

  • Yearbooks on sale for $70.  Contact Mrs. Gray if you have questions.

  • The FCHS ACADEMIC TEAM has practice every Monday and Wednesday after school in room 189 at 4:00pm.  Our first meet is in mid-September.

  • Any students interested in trying out for the Mock Trial team need to see Mrs. Dugan in room 205 as soon as possible. Tryouts will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd in Mrs. Dugan’s room.

  • Attention Beta Club members: We are now accepting applications for Beta Club officer positions for the 2013-2014 school year.  All information has been sent out via email.  Please see Mrs. Green (1554) or Mrs. Tise (1557) if you did not receive the email, or if you have any questions.

  • Baseball meeting for all prospective baseball players. Tuesday, August 27th 3:50. Coach Parker’s room 1326. Anybody that cannot make it needs to get in touch with either Coach McCollum or Coach Parker.


  • On Friday, August 23rd at 8:00 AM, there will be a Tennis meeting for any boy or girl interested in playing tennis for FCHS this year in Coach Roof’s Room (190).

  • Come support our Cheer Dawgs at their Sneak Peek Performance on Saturday, Sept 7th at 11am in the New Gym. Enjoy a special performance by our very own Football Coaches and cheerleaders! We will have Raffles and Free prizes!

  • All junior class officers’ applications are to be completed and turned in to room 151 or the East Media Center. Junior class officer voting will take place September 11th during IF. Voting will take place on Itslearning. Any questions please speak to Ms. Ellington or Mrs. Gonzalez in room 151 or Mrs. Hall in the East Media Center.

  • All students interested in joining the Student Council and all returning members, please meet in the dome gym on Thursday, August 29th from 4-6 for a mini retreat to kick off an exciting year.  We will have team building activities, set goals, and eat pizza.  Consider running for a leadership position, and be prepared to apply that day.

  • The media center is hosting a virtual book fair for students to order books for English classes or for reading pleasure. The book fair is running August 22, 2013 – September 6, 2013. Visit www.booksrockcafe.com to place an order.

  • Please see Dr. Green in Room 1540 if you are interested in being a 9th grade officer.  She has applications available.

  • International Club will meet Thursday, August 28, from 4-5 p.m.  Officer elections will be held.  To vote, you must be a member.  Club dues:  $10 includes t-shirt;  OR $25 includes t-shirt and hoodie.  Plan to stay for college night too!!! We’ll go together.


  • The first Spanish club meeting will be Friday, August 30th in room 1540. We will be discussing officer positions, so please attend.  As always, there will be breakfast snacks available!

  • There will be a MATH TEAM informational meeting on Tuesday, August 27 at 3:50pm in Ms. McPeak’s room (rm. 1324).  Anyone who is interested in math, logic, or brain teasers is welcome to come!!!

  • All people interested in the Patriot Club should come by Room 1553 (Mr. Calabro) on the West Campus to sign up and/or get some information about the club.

  • Key Club will meet on Thursday afternoon, Sept. 5th in Room 180 at 3:45.  Remember dues are being accepted for the next month. Dues are $20.00. Dues and T Shirt are $28.00.

  • Key Club will meet in the afternoon after school on Wed, Sept 4th.


  • The Central Corner will have Chick-fil-a Chicken biscuits for sale on Friday mornings from 7:45-8:15 for $3.00.

  • The 1st DECA Meeting of the year will be Tuesday, August 27th at 7:45 in Room 344. Breakfast is provided.

  • DECA Members wishing to attend the Business of Baseball Event with the Atlanta Braves need to pick up a field trip form from Mrs. Henderson. Field trip forms and money are due by September 10th. The cost is $30 dollars which includes access into the event, an outfield ticket to the game, a braves hat and a $10 food/drink voucher.

  • Please use the Blue “Smurf” Buckets in your classrooms for paper, junk mail, note cards, folders, newspapers and magazines, etc. We will pick up bins on Fridays during 4th period (more info to follow). There are 19 plastic bottle recycling bins placed around campus to be use for all plastic and aluminum recycling. Please let Ms. Cole or Mr. Jordan know if you have any questions.   • The first National Technical Honor Society meeting of the year will be Friday, September 13th at 7:45AM in Mrs. Jager’s room (340).  Breakfast will be provided!

  • Parents/ Guardians:  If your child has a medical condition or needs medication this school year, please download the appropriate forms from the county website and have your family Doctor fill them out so we can have them on file. If there is any concerns you wish to discuss with me in regards to your students health, please don’t hesitate to call me @ 770-887-8151 ext. 110166.   • Student All-Sports’ Passes are now on sale for $60 – good for admission to all home regular season athletic events for the entire school year; Adult All-Sports’ Passes are now on sale for $120 - good for admission to all home regular season athletic events for the entire school year; Passes can be purchased from Coach Woodard in the New Gym Conference Room.  Football Season Passes are SOLD OUT!
